About the event
Abstract: This study explores the postgraduation experiences of English Medium Instruction (EMI) program graduates in Mongolia and Japan, using Kirkpatrick’s four-level evaluation model. By examining graduate perspectives from enrollment through postgraduation experiences, the research provides a nuanced understanding of how EMI programs shape academic development, career trajectories, and institutional and societal engagement. Drawing on qualitative data from two contrasting national contexts, the study highlights emerging themes related to motivation, learning, and skill application. While not exhaustive, these insights contribute to ongoing discussions about the role of EMI in internationalizing higher education and offer considerations for strengthening program design and institutional support.
