Meredith Doran & Jacob Rieker, from Pennsylvania State University (USA), are editing an upcoming edited volume titled “Innovations in EMI Faculty Professional Development: Connecting Program Design, Implementation, and Impact."
EMI faculty face a unique set of challenges in their teaching, and high-quality professional development is crucial to support them. However, there is a lack of consensus on what constitutes effective EMI faculty development in practice. Our volume aims to bridge this gap by featuring original empirical studies that demonstrate clear connections between faculty development program design, implementation, and impact on faculty instructional practices, as well as (if possible) effects on student learning outcomes.
The full call for proposals, including the submission process and timeline, is linked here: EMI Faculty Development Edited Volume_CfP.pdf.
The submission form is also linked here for your convenience.
The current deadline for proposal submissions is November 15; however, if you require a few extra days to submit your chapter proposal, that would be totally fine.
We would be delighted if you and/or your graduate students would consider contributing a chapter to this volume. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.
All the best,
