“Unpacking Online Knowledge-Building: A Case Study of EMI Medical Education”
This talk explores how a lecturer and undergraduate medical students collaboratively construct knowledge about Autopsy in an online English Medium Instruction (EMI) classroom. Drawing on 6 hours of screen recordings from a History of Autopsy course, the study combines multimodal Conversation Analysis and Legitimation Code Theory to examine knowledge-building practices in classroom interactions. The findings provide insights into knowledge-building processes, online interaction dynamics, and EMI pedagogy in higher education.
Ola Uhrqvist:“Co-creating the story that the world needs - Sustainability stories as an educational approach to engage in Environmental and Sustainability Education”
Ola Uhrqvist is an associate professor in Pedagogy at the department of Behavioural Science and Learning at Linköping University. He will talk about his research about the potential in using Sustainability stories and Megagames as ways to support integrated understanding and agency in the context of complex issues related to sustainability and societal transformation.
Welcome to ReFIL!
Best wishes,
Ali Reza Majlesi also on behalf of Ulrika Bennerstedt, Eva Svärdemo Åberg, Mikael Persson and Gustav Lymer
